Tonya Whiteside

Tonya L. Whiteside is a wife, mother, educator and a high school academic advisor. She has been motivating individuals for many years. Tonya holds a Master’s degree in Human Services and Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

She is an inspiration to many people and has written a book called “Change The Atmosphere with Encouraging Words” and newly released, “Rebuilding Life after Trauma”.  Both books are sure to lift your spirits.

Tonya is the CEO and Presenter for The Whiteside Group. She has over twenty years of service work with the public and thirteen years of teaching and facilitating. She spent eight years in U. S. Army Reserve.

With experience in human services, Tonya has worked in the field of corrections for the Federal Bureau of Prisons and has taught job search techniques to welfare-to-work participants. She also facilitates and customizes life skills workshops such as: self-assessment, communication, job readiness, workplace diversity, stress management, and advancement strategies.

Tonya works with employers, schools, and social organizations helping to build a better workforce. She creates, coordinates and presents orientations for students at the elementary middle, high school, and college levels. She also teaches entrepreneurship to high school juniors and seniors.

Infusing spiritual wisdom and encouragement, Tonya works with churches and various non-profit organizations. She has a certificate of completion in Christian Education Teacher’s Training from Friendship Baptist Church and a certificate of completion for the volunteer mandated 40-hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training in the State of California.
